I am sharing this post, not my words, but those of my wife:
While I hate Monday’s because its back to work I go, Im thankful to have a job. Over this holiday weekend I have seen so many post or comments from those, not working, not able to pay bills, needing a place to live.. it breaks my heart. I want to reach out and help them all,but cant…. So this Holiday season instead of giving to the big charities I am asking all my friends to look around and help those nearest to them, the community centers, the food banks, maybe there is a neighbor you know is too proud to ask for help, drop a basket of food or toiletries at their door, take their address and call a utility company and offer to pay on their acct. Dont need to know the amount owed or anything, just pay something on it for them… There are so many little things we can do to help make this holiday just a little brighter for those by showing someone cares!!!! God Bless us all!
If we all could share in this heart-felt comment, perhaps life would be a little better for each of us this holiday season!
When it came to light the faces of the new management team – consisting of Joe Banner, Mike Lombardi and Rob Chudzinski..I knew this was a concoction for disaster.
Not one face told the story of successful drafting, and team-building. Banner was the business man who stood by as Andy Reid built one powerhouse team after another, while Mike Lombardi has left two decades worth of draft sorrows that kept him out of football and on the NFL Network for 5 years, until banner called his name – despite teams in need of a GM. Lombardi was the Browns first choice, when he wasn’t even an option for any other NFL team.
The Browns trade most of their 2013 draft picks for 2014 draft picks – banking on the impossible “predicting the future”. The Browns sign washed up players and players no one else wants – while Joe Banner made a promise to “build a Champion!”. Sam Bradford goes down and the Rams scramble to find a high-end quarterback – and did so, and signed him quickly. What do the Browns do when Campbell, and Hoyer go down? They drag their feet, only to sign some Harlem Globetrotter Quarterback.
Chudzinski struggled offensively here in Cleveland his first time around..which indicates his record setting 2007 season to be a fluke. Chud couldn’t make it in San Diego, and was berated by fans, players and media while at Carolina. He ends up in Cleveland. A rookie Head Coach – which has become the norm in Cleveland. Chris Palmer, Butch Davis (rookie NFL HC), Romeo Crennel, Terry Robiskie (interim), Pat Shurmur, and Rob The Chud.
In my opinion, Haslam sold Browns fans a Bill of Goods, just like he did his own customers in the Rebate Scandal. I’m no Team-Building expert, but I have built my share of Teams in the corporate world – and hiring the guys Haslam has tells me he isn’t looking for a Championship team, he’s looking for an easy way out.
Many legal experts believe Haslam will be found guilty – and who knows what will happen to the Browns?
Black Friday – the Zombie Apocalypse is upon us! Every year, it gets worse. Society is out of control. Materialistic people, trampling each other like the Running Of The Bulls. Dangle a piece of bloody meat in front of a school of piranhas and watch the feeding frenzy begin.
How much more Hell On Earth has to get progressively worse before the merchants take productive action to quell the embarrassment of America? As the Youtube videos widen their reach, and as more videos are posted – how could the world take America seriously, when so many others are fighting to stay warm…eat a meal…go without shoes and clothing..so many without proper housing and everyday luxuries like running water, heat, electricity.
I am disappointed in Man, and for my country…Black Friday is embarrassing.
Pressing #1 for English, or #2 for Spanish-
I get it..why is that an option?
Oh I don’t know…did the Native Americans have the option? Anyway, some seem to have a really big issue with pressing a single button – is it hard? Is the #1 missing from their phones so they can’t press it? Yet, perplexing more – those people who complain about pressing a single button never complain about the:
“Please listen carefully, as our menu options have changed [As if I memorized the former menu!]-
Press #1 if you’re calling between these particular hours.
Press #2 if you are in need of immediate attention.
Press #3 if you voted Republican.
Press #4 if you wish to speak to Barack Obama.
Press #5 if you need to Press any other number.
Press #6 if you have dry skin.
Press #7 if you want to self-destruct.
Press #8 ….if you dare!
Press #9 to repeat these options.
So you press the corresponding number, only to hear:
Press #1 if you are taller than 6’5″.
Press #2 if you’re having difficulty understanding these options.
Press #3 if you’re naked, and on the phone.
Press #4 if you, by now, have a headache.
Press#5 if you are experiencing anal discharge.
Press #6 if you voted Democrat.
Press #7 if you wish to laugh at Barack Obama.
Press #8 …I dare you!
Press #9 to return to the previous menu.
Seriously? They complain about pressing a single digit, but never the tapestry of options that seem to occupy a large portion of time on the phone? Odd! I prefer a human-being, who could be multi-lingual over pre-recorded menu options – and woe to those who press the wrong button!
I got purple.
Personality: Purples hold themselves to sky high standards, and are always very graceful. Purple is envied, idolized, and copied without even realizing it. They are an icon for those who know you. While it is hard to be a perfectionist, rest assured it’s paying off! Purple is the most down to earth aura, they are the typical guy or gal next door. Purples may think they are better than others but deep inside they know they are not. Purple is very practical. Other auras take a liking intopurple. Idealistic and thoughtful, they have the mind and ideas to change the world. Purple has the charisma of a great leader.Purple always seems to know what to say or do in every situation they are confronted with. They exercise good judgment daily. They don’t agonize too much about their decisions, the right answer just seems to come to them. Purples have one of the most active imaginations, but tend to be more focused on what could be potentially possible than dreaming about the impossible.Purples live a well balanced life and prefer to stay as calm as possible.Having a personality color purple or violet as your favorite color means you are sensitive and compassionate, understanding and supportive, thinking of others before yourself. You are a gentle and free spirit. Purples feelings run deep and you can be quite sensitive to hurtful comments from others, although you would never show it. People are drawn to your charismatic and alluring energy. You are usually introverted rather than extroverted and may give the impression of being shy although this is not the case. You are creative and like to be individual in most of your endeavors, including your dress and home decoration – you love the unconventional. You are idealistic, and often impractical, with a great imagination, Purples tend to look at life through rose-colored glasses. People who don’t understand you sometimes think you are eccentric because you spend so much time in your fantasy world. You inspire others with your creative thinking and your ability to deal positively with adversity. Purples are very intuitive and quite psychic. You are a generous giver, asking for little in return except friendship. You can be secretive, with even your closest friends not really knowing you well. You dislike responsibility and have difficulty dealing with real day-to-day problems. You dislike being part of the crowd. You don’t like to copy others and you don’t like them to copy you. You are a visionary, with high ambitions, dreams and desires, and a compulsion to help humanity and to improve the planet earth. You often hold positions of power because you are visionary, but you delegate to others all the minor details that you aren’t interested in. You like to have the best of everything, so you aim high. Being the free spirit you are, you love to travel to experience different cultures and meet new people. You are a good judge of character and sum others up quite quickly and accurately, although you usually see the best in everybody. Time means little to you and you are often late for everything. You trust the flow of the Universe to take care of everything. You can sometimes appear arrogant and conceited if operating from a negative perspective. You can be selfish and self-indulgent as you don’t like being imposed upon by others beliefs and regulations.
What color is yours?
The Convergence of 2014. This is my theory, and how I see it.This concept entails many things coming together, some all at once, others in increments – yet, all in the year 2014.Prior to the October 1st ACA mandate, Barack Obama and his team couldn’t figure out the Corporate mandate of the ACA law, and reluctantly agreed to push it back to October 2014. Recently, Obama gave a speech on the woes that have plagued the installment of the ACA bill, and pushed it back to 2014. It has already been determined millions more people will lose their health insurance January 1st, 2014. The Department of Labor already issued a report that millions will lose their unemployment benefits January 1st, 2014.As Congress sweats over the $700 billion dollars welfare will cost the Federal government over the next decade, they will deny 3.8 million people SNAP benefits and will cut $5 billion dollars in welfare benefits for 2014.
Congress will push the minimum wage to $9.80 per hour in 2014. While that may seem exciting to many, and perhaps even a moral victory – there is more to this than meets the eye. Strategically, this is being done for 2014. What will happen as a result, are those corporations looking at the impact of Obamacare on their bottom dollar in conjunction with this increase in wages, many businesses will simply close their doors – too costly to remain open. The other demon in play here, is the Obamacare exchange. Many right now qualify for rebates from this healthcare exchange – because they meet a certain income percentage. Many people are hovering just below that percentage line…and this spike in wages could realistically push them over that line, disqualifying them from participating in the exchange.I had read from a reliable, and personal source, there is a legislation on the Congressional table to tax the smoke stacks we see rising up from manufacturing plants. Add this to the ACA laws, the spike in wages..and we see something ugly brewing.Flying under the radar, this administration is pushing hard for – INFLATION! That’s right. Raising inflation is an ideology of Janet Yellen, Obama’s hand-picked incumbent to lead the Federal Reserve – starting in? Yep, 2014. The New York Times, Wall Street Journal and The Economist have been pushing hard for, and promoting inflation. Janet Yellen claims America needs more inflation..at a minimum of 2.5% annually. More if possible.Hence, the Convergence. Because we don’t see immediate results from poison, don’t be mislead this poison is manageable. Delayed gratification has an evil twin.
There is a concept, one used by many: Sudden change creates resistance, subtle change goes undetected.
Update: 12/28/13 – Congress failed to extend unemployment benefits. Nearly two million will lose their unemployment benefits 12/31/13.
Update: 12/28/13 – Congress unanimously votes to cut military pay, and family benefits.
Update: 01/03/2014 – Congress still hasn’t passed a welfare plan to curtail the impending $5 billion dollar cut looming for fiscal 2014, nor how they will not deny the 3.8 million welfare applicants.
Update: 05/06/2014 – The Employer Mandate in Obamacare had been delayed till after the mid-term elections…I assume to protect the Democrats, but, if my assumption is true, how bad must it be then?
Government is looking at a Federal Wage spike to more than $10.00, and Seattle has seen their minimum raise to $15.00 per hour, and many Democrats say even that isn’t enough.
